Social Security Budget: deputies reject the reform of employer contributions

The majority and RN deputies opposed this measure defended by the government and which sought to raise 4,000 million euros.

The deputies suppressed this Wednesday in first reading a key article of the Social Security budget that provided for a review of business contributions, from which the Government expects a saving of 4,000 million euros, and the majority mixed their votes with those of RN to oppose this measure.

The deletion amendments were approved by 170 votes to 162, and only the left and the MoDem opposed them. The Government defended a measure intended to make it possible to fight against the “traps of low salaries” and stop “too high” spending, without convincing the deputies of the groups that should support it in an Assembly with an “inverse front.” .
