This is a first in the cruise industry. Virgin Voyages launches an unlimited package allowing unlimited travel on its four ships.
Marketed since the beginning of this year for trips made in 2026, the package (the number of which will be limited) is offered at the price of $199,999 for a full year (payment in bitcoins is accepted).
“Now travelers can board one of our ships and explore a multitude of exciting destinations for an entire year,” Virgin Voyages says on its official website.
$10,000 commission for travel agents
In addition to the ability to enjoy any cruise operated by Virgin, the package includes exclusive services and offers. Subscribers will be entitled to a week’s stay on Necker Island, Richard Branson’s private island in the British Virgin Islands, with business class flights and VIP transfers included.
Aboard a company ship, they will be able to receive champagne daily in the cabin, have access to four private excursions and ten private cabin reservations at the Beach Club of Bimini, Virgin Voyages’ island in the Bahamas.
And to motivate sellers, Virgin promises a $10,000 commission to travel agents who sell the package.
This unlimited package aims above all to get people talking about Virgin Voyages, just like its child-free cruises or its acceptance of bitcoins. And take advantage of an unprecedented craze for cruises, especially among young people.
According to the Cruise International Association (Clia), the number of passengers increased from 13 million in 2004 to almost 32 million today and could reach 40 million passengers in 2027.
