In order to reduce the consumption of gas or electricity in a context of scarcity, the government has invited individuals and companies to set the temperature of the heaters to a maximum of 19°C. A common sense measure that would allow significant savings (5 to 7% according to Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister of Energy Transition).
But according to the chained duckthis invitation could be accompanied by controls and therefore sanctions.
“We are committed to responsibility”
“Among the avenues mentioned during the Energy Defense Council on September 2: the establishment of a ‘temperature police’, proposed by Bruno Le Maire and Roland Lescure, his Minister Delegate for Industry. Of course, a licensed official would be responsible for controlling the temperature in companies”, we can read in the palmipede of this day. Asked this Wednesday, Roland Lescure flatly rejects this possibility.
