Focus on Intelligence Analysis Management

[CONTENU PARTENAIRE] Meeting with Guillaume Bréjaud, COO of OPPSCIENCE specialized in the field of Intelligence Analysis Management and whose clients belong to both the public and private sectors.

What is Intelligence Analysis Management (IAM) of which you are specialists?

These are the mechanisms that make it possible to provide the user with data in a format understandable to him. The data in question can be of any type: images (for example, satellite photos), conversation transcripts, text analysis, etc.

How, specifically, do we make this data intelligible and usable?

Thanks to the symbolic approach, which is a method of automatic data analysis, it is already possible to classify a certain amount of information, the rest being processed by artificial intelligence (AI). These 2 approaches are complementary. In this context, AI is used to speed up a series of operations. Automate processing. The objective is to help users in their decision making. However, the final decision always remains human. It is to the latter that the final validation belongs.

Who are your customers today?

OPPSCIENCE’s clients come from both the public and private sectors. These are generally large structures. We find them in the banking sector, in the world of construction and infrastructure, in commerce, in the world of services. When it comes to retail, we are particularly active in the field of what is called the employee experience. We use artificial intelligence to allow a company’s employees to be, for example, exposed to the right internal mobility offers. We are going to work on the automatic constitution of internal networks around centers of interest. Another example: In the world of construction, we use AI in the context of knowledge management and maintaining long-term operating conditions. Regarding the public sector, our platform merges any type of data, preserving the integrity and security of the information. Saves users more than 50% of time spent on operational analytics without manually re-entering information.

Today, in terms of Big Data, isn’t the main problem more the qualification of the data than its accessibility?

Volume is one of the challenges, and in fact, in Big Data, many things are unnecessary. Our systems not only collect specific data, but also pre-qualify it. In this way, only those that are relevant to the user’s activity are provided.

What about the “data protection” aspect?

As a preamble, it should be noted that OPPSCIENCE does not provide solutions in SaaS mode. We don’t have environments where data comes from elsewhere. Therefore, we provide software to our customers. These are the ones that host our solutions and ensure GDPR compliance. As part of our systems, we provide mechanisms (data security, level of criticality, etc.) that will help them comply with regulations on this matter.

Will the complicated geopolitical economic context we are experiencing have an impact on OPPSCIENCE in 2023?

It will have a positive impact on our activity in both the public and private sectors. Administrations have updated their equipment to be able to process large volumes of data. The Olympic Games that will take place in Paris in 2024 are also an important element. As for the private sector, the latter has now become aware of the requirements in terms of cybersecurity and the importance of strategic intelligence in a context of widely globalized economic warfare.
