The president of the United States, Donald Trump, says he spoke with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping by telephone about customs duties, in an interview published Friday in Time magazine.
According to The Weekly, Donald Trump said Xi Jinping contacted him on the phone and that the discussions were underway between his two countries to try to reach an agreement. He also said he expected a series of agreements with China in the next three or four weeks.
Beijing refutes that negotiations are underway
The first two world powers fought a commercial war launched by the US president after his return to power in the White House.
