A contract at 600 million euros. The French rail manufacturer Alstom announced Friday that it has signed a contract for the supply and maintenance of 35 electric interregional trains in Bulgaria.
This contract provides for the delivery of 35 interregional trains Coradia Stream worth 452 million euros, specifies Alstom in a press release. It also includes its maintenance for 15 years, in association with the local company RVP Invest, which will provide the necessary facilities.
These trains will be the first supplied by Alstom to Bulgaria for traveler transport, said the manufacturer in his press release.
Signaling, infrastructure and travelers trains
The total amount of the contract, won by a consortium led by ALSTOM and Invest Invest, amounts to 720 million euros, including 600 million for the French manufacturer.
“This contract completes the Alstom Solutions portfolio (in Bulgaria), composed of signaling and infrastructure projects, traveler trains but also maintenance,” said Gian Luca Erbacci, president of Alstom Europe, cited in the press release.
