After the 8-Mayo bridge strike, a new social movement is coming for June 4, 5 and 11 at the SNCF. The CGT-CHEMINOTS, the first trade union organization within the railway company, demands the different categories of personnel personnel.
The union here shows its desire to continue mobilization, but this time and not on weekends. And the dates were not randomly chosen.
“On June 4, this is the date on which Management decided to organize work groups,” explains Axel Person, general secretary of the CGT Ferroviales of Trappes and Rambouillet, in BFMTV.
The union wants in particular “to impose on management a negotiation content that meets our requirements”, whether increases in salaries, an agreement on vocational training, additional works or the improvement of working conditions.
“The only way to have satisfaction is to call a strike”
The unionist specifies that the strike warning could be raised if the management made “commitments that probably draw a satisfactory commitment or the satisfaction of the claims simply.”
But insists on the need to continue mobilization. “Since 2021, we have been mentioning the bonus traction, management has refused until the strike is called to discuss it, now opens discussions,” he says.
This new mobilization occurs while a change is imminent in the head of the SNCF. A name circulates in particular to replace Jean-Pierre Farandou, that of former Prime Minister Jean Castex. And it is perhaps more for him that this strike is addressed.
