Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met Vladimir Putin on Friday and asked him to continue providing gas at a reduced price to Belgrade, an agreement that the Russian president said they would discuss “certainly.” Currently, Serbia is negotiating a new several -year gas agreement with Russia, the current three -year supply agreement expired at the end of May.
The European Union has often worried the nearby reports that tied Belgrade and Moscow and regularly asked Serbia to align their foreign and security policies with those of the EU. Belgrade depends on Russia for its gas needs and pays only $ 275 for $ 1,000 m3 Cubes within the framework of its current contract with Moscow, which is much lower than the market price in Europe.
Gazprom deliveries discussions
