Full cardboard for France in Indonesia. Accompanying Emmanuel Macron during his trip, the Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, announces having signed a letter of intent with his counterpart Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin to sell French military materials to the Indonesian armed forces.
Potential orders are related to Dassault Aviation Rafale’s combat aircraft, light frigates and scorpable submarines designed by Naval Group, as well as the César Knds canons.
The number of devices was not specified, but according to the gallery, citing concordant sources, it would be a dozen French combat planes (between 8 and 16) that would interest Yakarta.
Instead of its traditional Russian and American customers, Indonesia seems to favor the French offer and Chinese aircraft according to specialized sites.
Future contracts remain discussions. The firm could take place outside the July 14 parade, which is suffered by Indonesian President Pabowo is invited as a guest of honor.
