The main commercial federations in France request the destination of the Shein and Temu platforms, currently mentioned by a bill, in a letter addressed to the Government, according to a statement sent to the AFP on Tuesday.
Federations require a measure similar to that taken in 2021 against the desire platform. At the request of the Ministry, the DGCCRF had written to the most popular search engines, such as Google, Qwant or Bing, as well as in online application stores, such as Google Store or The Application Store.
According to European surveys, “from 85 to 95% of the products offered in Temu, Shein and Aliexpress do not meet the standards in force in the EU,” denounces the French Commerce Council (CDCF) and the Confederation of Business of France (CCF).
