Taking a night train at night to reach another European city early in the morning has been a reality. In the 1980s, the Ten Euro Nuits network allowed entrepreneurs to reach large French or European cities in comfortable and comfortable cars. But this service did not resist the rise of the plane.
Today, although the enthusiasm for the train has never been so strong, the projects of the new night night bonds are multiplying. Like Berliner Nox (Night in Latin), which intends to offer comfortable night trips among the main European cities, including Paris and become a viable alternative to short coating flights.
The idea is to focus on comfort with cars formed by private cabins for one or three people (three classes will be offered) in particular equipped with a table and a chair, with prices comparable to those of a plane ticket while saving a hotel night. The professional objective is clearly directed.

Dozens of ties are in the program: Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Rome, Vienne, Budapest, Stockholm of Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich …, in a perimeter comparable to short -distance airplanes, that is, that is, the links do not exceed 1,500 kilometers, or 12 hours to avoid delays and the risks of dysfunctions in very large links.
If comfort is a weight argument, NOX wants it to be delivered against the plane and its low prices. Therefore, the only one could start 75 euros and climb according to the chosen comfort class and the date
On paper, the project is promising, it is also carried by Janek Smalla, who contributed to the launch of Flyxtrain in Germany in 2017, an operator who is clearly beginning to gain power against the historical company.
But it is presented with any rail project with important difficulties: the colossal initial investment and the production of rolling actions.
A first line in 2027
NOX would be about to announce a great collection of funds this fall, while the interior design is fitted while the cars are in the final homologation phase. The company does not specify whether an order with a manufacturer has been signed, but offers a release date: 2027 for a German first line (Hamburg-Munich or Berlin-Vienne).
A fairly daring objective if we consider current production deadlines and the congestion of European industrialists capable of manufacturing night trains.
But the road plan seems rational: the first line in 2027 will be used with modernized existing equipment and will serve as proof, if the success is there, NOX aims to request new trains.
