Gaza’s civil defense said on Tuesday, June 10 that 15 people were killed by the Israeli fire when trying to enter a food package distribution center, while the Israeli army admitted to having made “citation.”
On May 27, there have been a series of fatal events since the opening of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) of the distribution of humanitarian aid in the Palestinian territory, an organization with opaque funds supported by the United States and Israel.
The Civil Defense spokesman, Mahmoud Bassal, said that 12 people had been killed when Israeli forces opened fire against people who expected to enter a GHF help center in center of Gaza at dawn.
The Gaza Strip is devastated by daily Israeli bombings and immersed itself in a serious humanitarian crisis after more than twenty months of war between Israel and the Islamist movement Hamas.
“Several thousand civilians and hungry people”
Mahmoud Bassal also said that during the night from Monday to Tuesday, three people were killed by Israeli fires and bombings north of Wadi Gaza, in the Gaza Strip, while waiting to enter the same center managed by the GHF.
“Several thousand civilians and hungry people had met with the hope of arriving at the American Aid Center near the Wadi Gaza bridge and the Netzarim corridor,” Mahmoud Bassal said.
The Netzarim corridor is a strip of militarized land by Israel that cuts Gaza in two, from the Israeli border to the Mediterranean, and that separates north from the rest of the territory.
The Israeli army recognized “citation” during an incident that occurred on Tuesday near a food center, but said the number of injuries did not correspond to their data.
“The sum shots were made hundreds of meters from the aid distribution site, before the opening hours, and in the direction of the suspects that represented a threat to the soldiers,” the army said in a statement.
The Al-Awda Hospital, located in the Nousseira Camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip, said he had received three bodies and one hundred injured after events near the Wadi Gaza bridge.
