If they bear the name of a gallic spear, you kill, these new suicide branches (Munion-MTO TV) are the fruit of a Franco-German development, between KNDS armaments and Start-Up technologies. This new range has just been presented this Tuesday, June 17 at the Bourget Fair.
The four devices that compose it use somewhat cryptic names: MV-25, MT-10, MX-10 and MV-100 Véloce 330. Their rains vary from 10 to 100 kilometers, enough to offer different rays of action and be “very agile,” says Knds.
Only 24 months of development
Agility is also what seems to predominate in this unprecedented association between the cannon manufacturer and the specialist in civil drones, in this market of small airplanes that can take a useful load (of armaments).
This industrial logic wants to be in line with the objectives of the war economy: produce more, faster and faster. “We were able to develop the product in 24 months to meet demand,” Knds said.
A development market
The attention is focused on the MV -100, which was developed as part of the Larinae program, launched by the Defense Innovation Agency in 2022. This drone, which shows a range of 100 kilometers, will be delivered to the three French armies from June, to be experienced in the field, without military charge at the beginning. Sold for 24 copies for the moment, the MV -100 could be subject to new orders, and why not a foreign country, interest in this type of ammunition that grows.
Knds and EOS are working and showed a 100 -copper production target per year from 2026, then to 1,000 per year to a deadline not recognized. “We are ready to climb very quickly according to political will,” manufacturers say.
Meanwhile, the MV-25 “Oskar”, produced in cooperation with the French specialist in Drone Delair, has been deployed by the Ukrainian armed forces for a few weeks. What to seal the ammunition of the “proven struggle” when it has been demonstrated in the field, an argument of weight for future export perspectives.
