The brochure A found the favors of the savers in May, according to data published on Monday by Caisse des dépôts (CDC), before a new decrease very likely on his return this summer.
Last month, the deposits exceeded the withdrawals of 1.22 billion euros in this preferred regulated savings product of the French, owned by 56 million of them.
Sustainable and solidarity development brochures (LDDS) at the same time inflated for 660 million euros, which carries the total “net collection” of these two products to 1.8 billion euros.
This amount, the highest of 2025, is comparable to May 2024.
Brochures A and LDD, limited respectively to 22,950 euros and 12,000 euros, allow to keep savings guaranteed, available and tax exemption.
At a rate between 1.5 and 1.7%
Deposits in these savings products slow down this year due to the fall in their remuneration, announced in mid -January and troops from February 1, from 3% to 2.4%. Another savings product are also competed significantly with guaranteed capital: euros of life insurance funds.
It is very likely that a new decrease in the Brochure A rate, to establish between 1.5% and 1.7%, has warned several savings specialists contacted by AFP.
The two components of the formula to calculate this rate (inflation and an interbank interest rate determined by the European Central Bank (ECB)) are in fact oriented down.
However, modest households can expect a “impulse” on the rate of the popular savings book (LEP), which has been deflated at 1.19 billion euros in May, heavy by annual fences by banks for the holders that exceed the resource roof.
For the director of the Epargne Circle Philippe Crevel, “a rate of 2.5% is imaginable” for the LEP on August 1.
