Will the latest employers proposals be enough? Up of the final session of pension negotiations this Monday, June 23, the presidents of Medef and the CPME were expressed during a press conference to present their joint proposal, with the hope of signing an agreement.
They arrive at the social partners about the era of cancellation of the discount: “We make a gesture for employee unions to be removed at a total rate before 67 years, announced Amir Reza-Tofighi, president of the CPME. 66 and a half, indexed to the hope of life, which allows to have an effort that is also made, but to follow the evolution of life, for not having a long-term diet.”
The CFTC demands a game without discount at 66 years
As a reminder, the discount is this fine that reduces the amount of the pension paid when one leaves after the legal age, but without having contributed enough rooms. The pension reform carried out by former Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, in fact, requires 172 quarters, which is equivalent to 43 years of work necessary to return to retirement at a total rate.
If employers trust the outcome of negotiations, the temperature is quite different in the opposite field. And for a good reason: the CFTC requires a decrease in retirement age without discount in 66 and not beyond. What is more, after the statements of the presidents of Medef and the CPME, the CFTC and the CFE-CGC accused them of “torpedo” the negotiations.
