A first for Japan: the country (which rearms under the Chinese threat) proves a sun -mer missile with a range of 150 km

Japan has carried out a shooting in Sol-Mmer missiles, the first in the country, which seeks to strengthen its abilities in front of the Chinese threat.

Japan Muscle his defense and announces that he has proceeded to his first Sol-Navire missile triggered from its territory, while the archipelago strengthens its military capabilities to deal with the initiatives considered threatening from China.

The Japanese self -defense terrestrial forces (JGSDF) said he had fired a “Type 88” missile on Tuesday towards the coastal waters of the Pacific, from a training camp located on the northern island of Hokkaido.

Mounted in a truck, the Sol -mer missile battery is produced by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and would have a range of 150 kilometers.

“Fire exercises in real conditions such as this allow a greater number of troops to train,” said the Yoshimasa Hayashi Hayashi Government spokesman at a regular press conference.

In general, they are carried out in American bases, Japanese fire exercises are considered expensive, especially because Yen’s weakness increases costs, according to local media.

Chinese threat

Yoshimasa Hayashi said that the exercise was not aimed at any particular country, even if Japan has already described China as a main security threat, while Beijing continues to strengthen its military capabilities in the region.

This shooting exercise occurs when Tokyo seeks to strengthen its defense capacity, and China increases its naval activities around Japan and Taiwan, a freelancer that Beijing considers as part of its territory.

In recent years, China has sent combat airplanes and military ships around Taiwan to affirm its sovereignty on the island, a statement that Taipei rejects.

Japan and China also dedicate themselves to a deep territorial dispute over the uninhabited islets in the Eastern Sea of China, where the coast guard of the two countries regularly face each other’s sides in the high seas.
