“Simple”, “massive” and above all “fast”: the counter opened on Saturday by the government to help companies pay their energy bills should allow them to receive the “first payments” in two to three weeks, it said on Monday Bruno LeMaire.
“Whether you are an SME, an ETI or a large company, you can receive from 4 to 150 million euros,” he added. “This counter is simple – all the complexity will be handled by the State – it is massive and it will be fast. Payments will be made in fifteen days to three weeks for companies,” explained Bruno Le Maire.
eligibility criteria
However, the Minister recalled the two eligibility criteria for this aid window. Firstly, the energy bill of companies must have increased by more than 50% between 2021 and 2022 – “this is the case for almost all companies when we look at the cost of energy today”, Bruno Le Maire assured.
Next, the energy bill paid by the company in the period for which you submit your request must represent at least 3% of the billing registered in the same period of 2021. Given that the simplified meter on Saturdays allows companies to request Aid for the months of September and October 2022, those whose energy bill for these two months is greater than 3% of their billing registered in September-October 2021 will be eligible.
