The DGAC recognizes a “chronic inactive situation”
On Wednesday night, UNSA-ICNA, the second union of drivers with 17% of the votes, announced that it had maintained its strike call for July 3 and 4, after a “conciliation meeting” with the DGAC that turned out to be not successful.
Requested Thursday morning by AFP, the DGAC did not want to comment immediately.
On Wednesday, he said that he recognized “the difficulties linked to the situation of chronic underemployment, which affect the quality of the service provided to airlines. It is precisely to remedy it to defend an ambitious recruitment plan.”
Controller score
But for the DGAC, the union claims are related to “control of the presence of controllers, remuneration and recruitment.” A reform is being made to establish a score of the controllers in the postcard, after a “serious incident” at the Bordeaux airport at the end of 2022, when two planes had almost collided.
