What products does Ewattch develop?
Ewattch develops IoT or connected sensors that measure the energy consumption of buildings and industrial sites. They generate data in terms of energy, production and temperature, which are uploaded to a platform. Everyone will be able to see them on the boards to make action plans and make the right decisions to produce better and consume less.
There were already technical solutions to do this, but very complex. We have chosen to create a simple and fast solution, which can be implemented on an industrial site in an afternoon and will allow first actions to be implemented quickly, which is important in the current emergency.
Why is supporting your customers as important as the technological part?
Sensors and software are useless if we don’t bring our experience to customers, so we help them know which sensors to choose, how to set up their dashboards, etc. Our goal is for our customers to get a return on investment with our products.
How are your products suitable tools in the context of the energy crisis?
Until now, all companies discovered their consumption when they received their bill. Ewattch technologies allow you to connect the electricity meter to know your consumption in real time. Given the increase in their bills, we give our clients a vision of the operation of their building, so that they know what to work on. In general, you can save between 20 and 40% without investing, simply by improving the operation of what already exists. Our decision support tools allow you to prioritize actions and measure the impact they have on the bill.
Until recently we worked mainly with large industrial companies, but with the explosion in the cost of energy, smaller companies, such as bakeries or cheese shops, or even municipalities, come to us because they need to lower their bills.
Is the environmental impact also an important focus of your action?
When we started the company 10 years ago, it was with the goal of having a positive impact on the planet. Unfortunately, the main motivation for companies to act on their energy consumption is financial. Obviously, the environmental impact is an additional argument for your communication with your clients, who are increasingly asking for an environmental approach and a coherent CSR policy.
