Vranken-Pommery’s champagne house signed a protocol with the Lanson-BCC company on Wednesday to sell it Heidsieck & C ° Monopole at a price of 50 million euros, to which the sale of shares labeled by an additional amount will be added, Vranken-Pommery Monopole announced.
Vranken-Pommery Monopole will also sell Champagne shares to its parent company, the Vranken company, for an amount that allows it, added to the operation carried out with Lanson, to achieve the objective of delegor of 130 million euros that the group had established in June.
Heidsieck & C ° Monopole, one of the oldest champagne houses, belonged to Vranken-Pommery Monopole since 1996. The resumption of its activity by Lanson-BCC will take place from January 1.
Important milestone
On this occasion, Lanson will acquire the Oenothèque of the brand, covering the historical crops, including the 1907 bottles of the shipwreck of the jönköping boat that flowed in 1916 in the Baltic Sea and are found in the late 1990s, as well as actions of products already conditioned under the brand at the time of the final realization of the sale.
For the Vranken-Pommery monopoly group, this operation “constitutes an important milestone in terms of disappointment,” said its general manager Nathalie Vranken. The group, which will be called Maison Pommery & Associés on January 1, leads a forwarding strategy around the Champagne Pommery & Greno brand.
