Storm warning for Stellantis. The automotive group (Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat …) announces a net loss of 2.3 billion euros in the first half, according to preliminary results.
In a press release, the manufacturer informs that its sales amounted to June 30 “to 1.4 million units, a 6 % drop in the annual shift.”
In question: temporary production judgments linked to the increase in customs duties decided by Donald Trump and a transition period in Europe where new models are launched.
Stellantis estimates that the “first effects of the new US customs rates” cost him 300 million euros.
One year before the deadline for his mandate, Stellantis General Carlos Tavares announced his resignation last December, due to disappointing financial results. It was replaced by Antonio Filosa.
