A little less good than the expected figures. According to the latest statistics updated and presented by Eurostat this Friday, August 1, inflation remained stable in July in the euro zone, 2% more than a year. It is a little worse than the analysts’ forecasts, which take a very mild decline.
The underlying inflation corrected for volatile energy and food prices, which refers to experts, has also remained stable, with 2.3% in the 20 countries that share the unique European currency.
0.9% inflation in France
In France, inflation (harmonized index) is estimated at 0.9% for a year in July 2025. It was three times less than last year when it amounted to 2.7% for a year.
After having reached record levels due to the Cavid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, the rhythm of the increase in consumer prices is aligned with the objectives of the European Central Bank. She had reached a record in October 2022, with 10.6% for a year.

After months of very hard negotiations, Brussels and Washington sealed a commercial agreement based on customs tariffs of 15% in European products that arrive in the United States, with certain tax exemptions, for example, for aeronautics.
