The budget deficit spent the brand of 100 billion euros at the end of June (but improves 3 billion euros compared to 2024)

The state budget deficit reached 100.40 billion euros at the end of June, in improvement of 3 billion euros compared to the same period last year. In particular thanks to the increase in fiscal income.

The deficit of the French state budget was established at 100.40 billion euros at the end of June, according to data published on Tuesday by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereign. At the end of June 2024, the deficit amounted to 103.47 billion euros. An improvement of 3 billion euros compared to last year. It is always good to take at a time when the government seeks more than 40 billion savings to reduce the public deficit.

In detail, total expenses (net reimbursements and tax taxes) amounted to 262,079 billion euros at the end of June, against 263,650 billion a year ago, a 0.6%drop. For its part, the income was established at 182,508 billion euros in the middle of the year, against 175,078 billion last year, an increase of more than 4%.

Increased tax revenue

The only net fiscal income amounted to 163.3 billion euros against 156.3 billion at the end of June 2024. An increase of 7 billion that “is mainly explained by the growth of other internal taxes (+3.7 billion euros) in relation to the end of the end of the rate, taxes on net companies (+2.2), as well as net income taxes (+0.9 tickets) Network network tickets.

To this is added the balance of special accounts (income assigned to the pensions of civil officials, financial participation, advances to local authorities …) that reaches -20.8 billion euros, a deterioration of 5.9 billion euros compared to the end of June 2024.

The 2025 budget provides a reduction in the budget deficit to 139 billion euros throughout the year, a decrease of 17.3 billion euros compared to the budget executed in 2024.
