Increased employment
The unemployment rate of women is “almost stable” (-0.1 points) to 7.3%, while that of men increased from 0.2 points to 7.7%. It increases slightly in the quarter, by 21,000 people, but decreases by 51,000 people for a year.
Finally, the employment rate continues to progress, although very slightly, in the second quarter, reaching 69.6%, its highest historical since Insee began to measure it in 1975. It was 0.5 points above its level in the second quarter of 2024.
