The four majority unions of the Ratp, the CGT, FO, the Unita mobility and the CFE-CGC, requested the strike on September 18 in a common press release on Friday
The signatory unions of the text (90% of the Ratp agents according to the press release) believe that the draft 2026 of the government “directly threatens our working and life conditions” and is “based on a logic of brutal austerity.”
They also denounce the abolition of the holidays, the decrease in the management of medical costs and the opening to the competition of the ile ib -de -france bus. This common announcement arrives a few hours after the National Union meeting this Friday.
Mobilization is growing
The various unions (CFDT, CGT, FO, CFE/CGC, CFTC, ANSA, FSU and SOLIDESES) met at the CFDT headquarters decided to organize “a mobilization day throughout the territory on September 18, even for the strike and demonstration.”
The Syndicate The Base, a majority among RER drivers for their part called Strike on September 10 in a shared press release on their Facebook page. He did not indicate if he joined the mobilization of 18.
Many trade union organizations in the transport sector have announced that they join social mobilization on September 18. In particular, the CFDT Cheminot, the 4th SNCF union, or the SNTTA, the majority union between French air controllers.
Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot also reacted to this call to the strike of SNTTA, announcing that he would not give in and that “this new notice makes the threat of new disturbances weigh.”
