This is an explosive subject to which the national rally could address whether to take off after the vote of confidence on September 8. Very different rules between public and private
Therefore, currently, only one day of deficiency applies to labor births in public service, where private employees are only compensated by health insurance after three days of working detention.
But be careful with subtleties: public officials are not paid at all during the only day of deficiency applied to their work strikes. We are talking about the day of public deficiency, this concept that the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM), employers and government do not exclude reproduction in the private sector to generate savings to stop the structural increase in daily assignments paid to the insured in recent years.
For their part, employees have the possibility, according to branch agreements and additional pension covers than their company, to be paid at least partially during their three days of deficiency. According to the activity sectors, some even suffer any loss of income.
On the other hand, if the government gave to the socialists and resigned from the extension of the deficiency of the labor strikes of public officials at the beginning of the year, it still managed to reduce their compensation. The first three months are paid to 90% of index treatment, then compensation reduces half of index treatment for 9 months.
In the private sector, disease licensed employees are compensated in 50% of their basic daily salary … Within the limits of a ceiling established in 2025 to 41.47 euros per day.
