EasyJet lands at Beauvais airport

The low cost airline will operate a connection to Lisbon in Portugal against its great competitor Ryanair.

Easyjet adds another string to its bow in France by taking over Paris-Beauvais airport, the stronghold of its historic competitor Ryanair.

The low-cost airline will operate a connection with Lisbon in Portugal from November. Three flights per week are scheduled until March 25.

Remember that EasyJet also serves Lisbon from Paris-CDG in competition with Air France, TAP Air Portugal and Transavia France.

Now present in 23 airports in France

“With Paris-Beauvais, easyJet now services 23 airports in France. We are pleased to open this line that will connect the platform to this essential destination of Lisbon, operating our flights on a modern Airbus fleet, with quality on-board service. at affordable prices.” “This development was made possible by winning slots earlier this summer in Lisbon, one of easyJet’s 28 bases in Europe. With the allocation of these slots, easyJet this winter becomes the first airline between France and Portugal in terms of capacity,” explains Bertrand Godinot, easyJet’s director for France in a press release.

“This new business relationship is excellent news for the development of the airport’s 1,200 jobs,” said Michel Peiffer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SAGEB, the Paris-Beauvais operator. “This arrival demonstrates the attractiveness of our airport and our territory in a phase of strong recovery in air traffic.”

EasyJet will thus be the ninth company present at the airport located on the Oise.
