The nuclear and renewable sectors have been waiting for it for two years. But they should not get satisfaction and will still have to wait to be able to project. The Minister of Industry, Marc Ferracci, judged “probable” this Sunday, September 7 in Franceinfo that the Decree on Energy Programming was not published before the possible fall of the Government after a vote of trust on Monday.
The third multiple energy programming (PPE) traces the French roadmap in this area until 2035. Its objective is to get out of fossil fuels and achieve carbon neutrality in 2050, thanks to a greater availability of the French nuclear fleet and the construction of new EPR2 reactors.
In July, professional unions and federations warned of the need to publish this roadmap as soon as possible, after the delay of two years. Energy players expect, for example, to launch tenders, especially in the wind in the sea, safe investments, anticipate training and employment needs and predict infrastructure.
“It is a decision of the prime minister”
But why wasn’t it published? The PPE has resulted in animated debates, many deputies on the right and the national rally have criticized it significantly.
Before entering into force, it was still the subject of a decree, of which Prime Minister François Bayrou announced in early August that the publication has delayed “to make the necessary consultations and consultations” with parliamentary parts and groups.
Today its publication is more than committed, and the Minister of Energy wanted to clarify that this situation was not of its fact. “I validated this decree. It is a decision of the prime minister” to have delayed it, “said Marc Ferracci.
A text taken by the next government?
While François Bayrou convened a vote of confidence in the National Assembly on Monday, which should lose given the vetoes announced from the extreme right and left, the text can remain in Limbo.
“This is in fact a hypothesis that probably today,” Marc Ferracci told the question of whether the PPE would not be published before the fall of the government. However, the minister expected this text not to be buried.
The PPE publication was expected by energy players to launch tenders, especially in the wind, safe investments, anticipate training and employment needs and provide infrastructure.
