The Chief of the Rights Union of the Republic (UDR) Eric Ciotti, an ally of the RN, proposes to Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu an contractingist who provides 120 billion savings to achieve immigration, social policy or even France’s contribution to the EU budget.
This setback “aims to achieve 120 billion euros in structural savings, not for an increase in taxes, but for a deep restart of our public finances,” writes the deputy of the Alps-Maritimes in a letter addressed to the Head of Government whose AFP obtained a copy, before his meeting scheduled for Thursday in the context of the interviews led by Sébestien Lecornu.
Savings three times higher
Eric Ciotti, who does not hide his sympathy for the Argentine Liberal President, Javier Milei, chose promising to cut on the public chainsaw, therefore, proposes to save almost three times greater than those of 44 billion planned in the budget of the former minister of the first François Bayrou, which fell on September 8.
To achieve this, he wants to “end immigration -related abuses”, transform state medical aid (AME) “into a strictly limited emergency system”, reduce the French contribution to the European budget and development help, “in depth reform our social policies” or even modernize unemployment insurance and vocational training.
Eric Ciotti, who appears to the municipal elections in Nice in March, fixes “clear and non -negotiable red lines” for the budget, quoting in particular his requirement that there is no increase in the mandatory taxes, nor the distense of pensions or the decrease in the management of care and drugs.
