Keep growing, but more slowly. Economists from the main US banks reviewed their growth forecasts for the United States on Wednesday, in high slowdown compared to 2024.
The Economic Advisory Committee of the ABA Banking Association, composed of 16 economists from the largest American banks, now believes that the world leader will experience 1.3% growth for a year.
This represents a strong deceleration compared to the same period in 2024, where there had been a 2.5% growth for a year.
According to the median forecast of the committee economists, a region of activity is expected in 2026, with a growth of 1.8%.
In March, these economists were waiting for a 2.1% growth in 2025 as in 2026.
Officials of the United States Central Bank (FED) have also recently updated their forecasts, a little more optimistic.
The Fed expects 1.6% growth at the end of this year marked by a strong increase in customs tasks of the products that enter the United States.
