Inflation rises. The Consumer Price Index (IPCH) in France increased by 1.2% for a year in September, promoted by an acceleration of services prices, according to provisional estimates published by INSEE this Tuesday, September 30.
A figure that confirms a fairly low level despite an acceleration compared to August when the price increase was 0.9%. In July, inflation amounted to 1% for a year.
Inflation in France has slowed down considerably since the inflationary wave that has shaken the global economy mainly between 2021 and 2023, and now it is fine under the 2% target of the European Central Bank (ECB).
Other European countries have also seen their inflation for a year and a half, even if it experienced a slight increase in Germany in August for the first time of the year, with 2.2%. In the euro zone, it must be 2.1% in 2025, then 1.7% in 2026 and 1.9% in 2027.
