Less noise, more tranquility. California prohibited too noisy ads on television on Monday, with a new law that requires advertisements with a small volume.
The spectators in the United States have complained for a long time that television ads can be much louder than the program they see.
This often causes incongruous situations: the silent tone of an animal documentary can be brutally interrupted by an actor that praises the merits of a new treatment against flatulence.
The new law stipulates that ads now cannot be louder than the content they interrupt.
Beyond television channels and conventional cable, the law also includes transmission platforms.
