By consolidating flows, Log’issimo responds effectively to the logistics needs of customers and, at the same time, minimizes CO2 emissions by speeding up the movement of goods in the first and last kilometer. What, finallyIt also reduces costs. To do this, La Poste Business Solutions relies on the 13,500 existing collection and delivery rounds to integrate additional flows of goods. In this way, it avoids multiplying the connections and the number of vehicles on the roads.
Log’issimo relies on the proactive policy of Le Groupe La Poste, which since 2012 has offset all its residual emissions. But Le Groupe La Poste’s commitment is not limited to carbon neutrality: it has adopted a path compatible with the Paris Agreement, which allows it to effectively reduce its emissions (-30% between 2013 and 2025).
How ? First by massively decarbonizing its vehicle fleet. With close to 35,000 vehicles, that is, 48% of its fleet (30% without counting bicycles with electrical assistance), it already has the leading fleet of electric vehicles that allows it to adapt its resources to the demands of distribution and transport, and comply with regulations imposed by municipalities to limit pollutant and CO² emissions. La Poste will also procure an additional 8,000 electric utility vehicles and 1,000 cargo bikes by 2025 to further green its fleet.
But also supporting its 600 associated heavy load carriers towards low carbon energy. La Poste has thus set itself the goal of completing 50% of the kilometers traveled with low-carbon energies by 2030, abandoning diesel in favor of electricity and hydrogen with a transitional phase on available energies (biofuels and biogas) in the present.
