Didier Duhaupand, president of Groupement Les Mousquetaires, spoke about the electrical tensions that could occur this winter, according to the RTE chain. “I don’t think we have priority, I’m sorry,” he reacted on BFMTV.
Consequently, in the event of a power cut, the group’s stores -such as Intermarché, Bricorama or Netto- will be “forced to close between one and two hours”, and this “for the safety of our consumers, for the safety of the product and for the safety of the personnel working on it”.
Without being alarmist, like Emmanuel Macron this Tuesday morning, Didier Duhaupand called on the French to “minimise”. The organization in the stores would be little disturbed. “In the morning, we will open a little later if the cut occurs, and we will close a little earlier in the evening”, he said before reassuring, we will be there the next morning ”.
Adapt to consumption peaks
The Les Mousquetaires group then focused on its most energy-intensive activities. “It is not lighting that is the biggest consumer,” admitted Didier Duhaupaud. He clarified that kitchen appliances were much more.
“The organization of our schedules will consist of baking the bread very early in the morning or a little later to avoid those famous peaks that we talk about so much,” he confided then.
