On December 15, 2.3 million low-income households will receive the Christmas bonus. If the CFDT and the CGT demanded a revaluation of their amount due to the level of inflation that exceeds 6% in a year, it will not be, according to information from Merci pour l’info that we can confirm.
Indeed, contacted by BFM Business, the Ministry of Solidarity explains that the renewal of this aid, improved only once (in 2008) since its creation in 1998, constitutes a “strong gesture” in the current context. It justifies its non-revaluation by the “many instruments already implemented against inflation to help the most modest”. Among them, “the tariff shield, the fuel discount or the exceptional back to school bonus of 100 euros (increased by 50 euros per child)”.
The Government also remains “attentive to the purchasing power of the French” the most modest and does not exclude “new measures in case of deterioration”, the Ministry of Solidarity still assures.
An amount that depends on the composition of the household
The Christmas bonus paid by CAF to RSA beneficiaries will therefore amount, as in previous years, to 152.45 euros for a single person and may reach 457.35 euros for a single person with 5 children, then 60.98 euros in more per additional person.
It can also be paid by Pôle emploi to beneficiaries of ASS (specific solidarity allowance), ASS-F (specific solidarity allowance for training), AER (retirement equivalent allowance), RPS (public internship compensation), RFPE (remuneration for Pôle Emploi training) and the ACRE-ASS (aid for the creation and absorption of companies). In this case, its amount is unique (152.45 euros).
“To benefit from this exceptional aid, your entitlement to the subsidy must be in progress for the month of November or December 2022. If you are a new beneficiary, the bonus will be paid in January 2023”, specifies the site service-public.fr .
