Can you tell us a few words about Primeum’s activity around variable compensation?

Originally, Primeum ​​was a variable compensation consultancy. We have been around for 27 years and have about fifty employees. We support many clients by helping them align their business strategy with their remuneration policy. More precisely, to whom do you direct your advice and your software?

We work almost exclusively with large companies as well as ETIs, whatever their field of activity. Our clients may also be located in France or abroad.

What are the main steps around this support?

In the first place, we carry out a first diagnostic phase by performing a quantitative analysis; this allows us to identify failures and understand their origin. We then carry out a qualitative analysis by interviewing employees to test their understanding of the terms of their remuneration and associated management practices.

This first consulting phase allows us to propose a first draft of recommendations, to then move on to the compensation policy phase. With the same principle, we can now establish commercial discount policies with the clients of a company, to encourage them to behave virtuously with their suppliers; it all stems from the same motivators.

In general, how do you see the future?

I believe that this topic around the variation of the remuneration to improve the performance of a company will be at the center of the strategic thinking of companies in the coming years.

This idea of ​​rewarding performance is increasingly applied at all levels of the company. In the interest of fairness, I think it makes sense to reward top performers who contribute to the success of the company.
