SNCF: the signalmen maintain their strike notice from December 15 to 19

The announcement was made by SUD-Rail after the round table between the management and this category of employees.

First bad news after the salary negotiations at SNCF. This Friday a specific round table was held between management and controllers who are demanding increases in their remuneration in particular.

The proposals do not seem to have convinced the SUD Rail union, which announced to AFP that it would maintain its notice of strike from December 15 to 19, during the first departures for the Christmas holidays.

The proposals “border on contempt,” judged the union.

The CGT-Cheminots, for its part, described the measures as “insufficient” and said that it is thinking of calling for a national movement, although at this stage it has not presented a notice, like the other representative organizations, Unsa-Ferrocarril and CFDT. – Cheminots.

“Contempt”

This Thursday a round table was held with the controllers this time but the unions have not yet ruled on the SNCF proposals. They have a week to do it.

It should be remembered that globally, through the NAOs, the SNCF offered railway workers a salary increase of 5.9% on average in 2023.

The railway group has proposed a general increase of 2% for all accompanied by a “flat rate increase” of 600 euros gross per year, according to a union source.

With the increase in various bonuses (night work, Sundays, holidays) and the payment of 75% of the transport pass instead of the current 50%, management estimates that the salary increase is close to 6% on average.

According to the DHR of the François Nogué group, all the measures put on the table represent an effort of around 600 million euros.
