Air France will ensure this Thursday “its entire flight program” on the first day of a strike call by two unions of stewardesses and hostesses, the airline announced Tuesday. The cabin crew unions UNAC and SNGAF have presented a notice of strike that covers the end of the year holidays, from December 22 to January 2, in a context of social conflict around the collective agreement for stewardesses and hostesses. The flight schedule for the following days will be known 24 hours in advance, according to the company.
UNAC and SNGAF are calling for a “temporary contractual solution to replace the collective agreement” for aircrew that expired at the end of October, while negotiations on a new collective agreement continue. The SNPC-FO and the Unsa-PNC did not call a strike within the company, where professional elections will be held at the beginning of the year.
Another strike notice is upheld at French Bee
Social conflicts have also been deactivated at Air Antilles, Air Guyane, Corsair and Easyjet. But there is another notice of strike, from December 22 to 25 at the French Bee company, where the SNPNC and the CGT denounce “multiple dysfunctions” in their working conditions and wages that are too low. Headquartered in Orly, French Bee serves Réunion, French Polynesia and the Dominican Republic, as well as destinations in the United States.
