GRDF leadership and the CGT signed an end-to-conflict protocol on Tuesday, ending a strike movement that had been underway for six weeks over purchasing power issues, the two sides said. The agreement includes the monthly payment in 2023 of an exceptional bonus of at least 50 euros gross and up to 87 euros for the lowest salaries. This bonus will complement the provisions registered this autumn in the branch and company agreements, until reaching a total of at least 200 euros gross per month, the signatories specified.
“Services will resume as normal”
This result “is not perfect, but we have reached the highest demand: at least 200 euros a month for all employees,” said Fabrice Coudour, federal secretary of the FNME-CGT, adding that these demands made in a context of inflation include local components, eg depending on the region, living or working conditions.
The GRDF management will sign in November a salary agreement with three unions (CFDT, CFE-Energie, FO) providing for a 2.3% increase, in addition to an increase in the national base salary (SNB) obtained at the level of the branch. But the CGT, the majority in the company of about 12,000 employees with 48% of the votes, asked for an additional 2.3%. At the height of the strike, the CGT claimed “a hundred mobilized sites”, when the leadership spoke of “less than 3% of strikers”.
