Accessing the SNCF online reimbursement form is “mission impossible”, users lament. The railway company has established an exceptional compensation of 200% for those who have canceled their TGV Inoui, Ouigo or Intercité train scheduled between December 23 and 26. To obtain it, the SNCF put a form online on Thursday afternoon.
“The site is spinning in a vacuum…”
But the platform is far from satisfying customers. “After seeing my trains canceled for Christmas, I wasted another night trying in vain to fill out the online compensation form that didn’t work,” one traveler complained on Twitter. “How can I get a refund for my canceled ticket?” ask another.
However, the refund request must be initiated before the departure time shown on your ticket to be taken into account. “Are we talking about the fact that it is impossible to connect to the platform to obtain compensation? And that you have to do it before the time my train had to leave, which is in 20 minutes! Failure since yesterday!”, he protests. therefore an Internet user, who therefore runs the risk of not being reimbursed.
“Access to the form is very slow due to the large number of simultaneous connections since this afternoon,” said the SNCF. in a tweet Thursday night.
“We invite you to connect later,” adds the railway company.
Online or by mail only
Except that to access said form you must have your SNCF account identifiers. Without it, it is impossible to complete it online, then you will have to go through a letter, as indicated on the site (see below).
Finally, the SNCF specifies on Twitter that only this form, online or by mail, allows you to request compensation. “This compensation cannot be delivered at the station, in the store or by phone,” the SNCF communication can read.
A decision that can be a problem for all those who are far from digital.
