The pension reform presented by the Government on Tuesday marks the end of most of the special regimes.
Thus, those of the RATP, the electricity and gas industries (close to 150 companies such as RTE, Enedis or Engie), notaries, employees of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council and the Banque de France will be extinguished, according to the “grandfather clause” already implemented in the SNCF.
It should be noted that new hires will become members of the general pension scheme as of September 1, 2023.
However, some special diets save the head.
• The autonomous regimes that concern lawyers
Unlike other liberal professions, lawyers have their own basic pension plan. There is also a complementary regime, also reserved for your profession, which was reformed in 2015.
These two pension plans are jointly managed by the Caisse nationale des barreaux français (CNBF).
The basic annual pension is 1,438 euros per month in 2021, reassessable each year. The average complementary pension is 785 euros per month in 2021.
The age of the full rate is set between 65 and 67 years depending on the year of birth.
• Sailors’ allowances
The CRM (Seafarers Pension Fund) allows employees in the sector to retire at age 50 with 25 years of service.
The pension is calculated on the basis of a maximum of 25 annuities even if the seafarer has contributed for longer.
• The regime of the Paris Opera
This pension plan affects all employees, with an indefinite contract, of the Paris Opera, including dancers, that is, approximately 1,700 people.
The legal minimum age required to access dancers’ pension rights is 40 years.
The amount of the dancers’ retirement pension is calculated in relation to a reference salary, called the base salary. The percentage of the full rate is 75%. However, it can reach 80% in case of bonus.
• The regime of the French Comedy
The staff (300 employees) of the Comédie Française benefit from a special pension scheme, called the CRPCF. It manages the basic pension scheme and the complementary scheme of its affiliates.
Technicians and employees of the security service born after 1959 can claim their rights at age 57, while their colleagues in administrative services and residents must wait 62 years.
Members have their own system. An actor benefits from a lifetime pension after ten years of seniority, corresponding to a quarter of his employment income.
