Emirates: CEO of national oil company named president of COP 28

The Emirati Industry Minister and head of the national oil company, Sultan al-Jaber, has been appointed to lead the COP 28 climate conference that the Gulf state will organize at the end of 2023.

The director general of the United Arab Emirates oil company, host country this year of the UN climate conference, will preside over COP 28, authorities announced Thursday.
