If oil rises, Totalenergies could “make a move for consumers”

At BFM Business, the CEO of Totalenergies wants to reassure consumers in the event of an increase in oil prices. The group would consider “gesturing again.”

Will fuel prices be more pressured? During an interview in Davos with BFM Business, Patrick Pouyanné, CEO of Totalenergies, believes that it can stay in a range of 80 dollars, but does not rule out any scenario. “You can also go back to $100 again.”

If this possibility materializes, “the question will arise as to whether Totalénergie knows if it is necessary to redo gestures with respect to oil and diesel consumers in France.”

Patrick Pouyanné says he has taken steps to reassure consumers.

Regarding supply, the head of Totalenergies also ensures that “arrangements” have been made “to ensure supply throughout our European diesel network despite the cessation of imports of Russian diesel into Europe.”
