Pensions: when a supermarket boss releases his employees to demonstrate

In this shop in Grojelac in the Dordogne, all the employees are on strike this Thursday to demonstrate against the pension reform.

If in public companies the strike calls are numerous and followed, in the private sector the mobilization is for the moment more difficult to measure. But at this convenience store in Grojelac in the Dordogne, management took the initiative by allowing all employees to strike to demonstrate.

No payroll deduction

Therefore, the manager is alone at the checkout this Thursday and has had to reduce opening hours, a situation that does not seem to shock customers. “It seems logical to me that employees can go on strike”, said one of them, “it seems normal and very good to me because it is a right”, adds another.

The icing on the cake, the striking employees will be paid as a normal day, whereas on paper, this strike day should have been deducted from their wages.
