Pensions: Stanislas Guerini ensures that a third of the savings generated will be used for career development

A third part of the savings generated by the new pension reform will be used for the development of everyone’s careers, declared this Saturday the Minister of Public Administration, Stanislas Guerini.

Stanislas Guerini, Minister of the Civil Service, took advantage of a program on Franceinfo this morning to clarify the details of the new pension reform. The latter has explained that a third of the savings that this new system will entail will be allocated to the development of professional careers in the future.

“Correct injustices”

“What is at stake behind the reform is how the races develop. That is also why this reform will dedicate a lot of effort -a third of the savings generated will go to these efforts- to be able to acquire tools to better develop careers. ”, He said on FranceInfo.

Of the 17.7 billion euros in savings planned for 2030, 6 billion euros will go to “correct injustices,” he said, stressing that “it has no comparison with previous setback reforms.” In comparison, the minister said that the 2010 reform had generated savings of 30,000 million euros and 1,500 million of them were devoted to the same subject.

“Make the end of a career more acceptable”

Among the planned devices, Stanislas Guerini highlighted in particular the introduction of the “gradual retirement” of teachers. “It allows you to go part-time at the end of your career without losing salary because you will be able to benefit from your retirement pension in advance”, recalled Mr. Guerini.

The reflection also refers, according to him, to “how we can make the end of the career more acceptable, how we can allow more civil servants to change jobs, to have more mobility”.

According to the Pension Guidance Council, a deficit of almost 100,000 million euros will weigh on the pension system in the next 10 years
