LIVE – Gasoline, transport…, what to expect from the next strikes against the pension reform?

Before the next day of action of the inter-union on January 31, different sectors are getting ready for parallel mobilizations. Update on the situation.

Refineries: no risk of gasoline shortage at the moment

The CGT Petróleo called a 48-hour strike for Thursday and Friday to protest against the pension reform project. A new call for a 72-hour strike has been launched for February 6, when the movement can then be renewed.

TotalEnergies said there was no shortage of fuel at its stations and that its teams were mobilized to meet demand that could be more sustained than usual.

Stocks in warehouses and service stations are at a satisfactory level, added the oil group.

SNCF: the risk of the renewables strike

Meeting on January 20 SNCF unions that it is known that they would register “on the confederal dates with all the employees”.

The strikes could also occur even earlier in the railway sector since the CGT-Cheminots presented a notice “which covers from Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. to Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. hours”.

In a joint press release, CGT-Cheminots and SUD Rail mentioned two tracks for after January 31, namely two consecutive days of strike on February 7 and 8 or a renewable strike from mid-February.
