Renault proposes to raise the budget by 7.5% to raise wages

Enough to guarantee an average increase of 110 euros net per month for each employee.

Renault proposed a 7.5% budget increase to increase wages in 2023 following mandatory annual negotiations (NAOs) that ended on Thursday night, ensuring an average increase of 110 euros net per month for each employee.

The salary increases are divided into general and individual increases, but a purchasing power support bonus will also be paid to all employees (workers, technicians, supervisors and executives), the automaker told AFP on Friday.

This, in the amount of 700 euros, will continue to be capped: it will be awarded to employees earning up to three times the minimum wage.

“Historical record increase” greets the CFDT

All these measures allow an average increase of 110 euros net per month throughout the year, the group assured. They will enter into force on February 1. The unions have until next Friday to decide whether or not to sign the agreement.

Last year, no union (CFE-CGC, CGT, CFDT and FO) agreed to validate the agreement reached at the end of the annual negotiations. This proposed increasing salaries by 1.9% on average by 2022, a measure complemented by share distributions to employees but blocked for five years.

“Today we set a historical record of increase, defying all competition,” greeted the CFDT in a press release.

The effort made by the company in favor of its employees is greater than that of “TotalEnergies (7%), Stellantis (5.3%) or even Valéo (4.5%)”, greeted the union.
