ERP and CRM software increasingly agile

[CONTENU PARTENAIRE] With 40 years of experience, Divalto publishes management software (ERP and CRM) for SMEs and ETI. He also works with a hundred partner companies in France, who distribute and install his solutions, while providing a complete service to user clients. In this article, Jérémy Grégoire (Divalto Chief Product and R&D Officer) explains the challenges of his sector, in a constantly changing world.

What is the range of action of Divalto?

Divalto covers all the needs of improve overall business performance. Specifically, we help our clients to manage all their activity, be it production, billing, maintenance or even the relationship with their clients. Digital transformation started about ten years ago, first targeting very large companies, then mid-caps and SMEs.

This digitization has been taking place for several months in a different context, marked by the Covid, then by the economic tension, between the war in Ukraine and the rise in the prices of raw materials. Faced with these problems, companies must reconcile two opposing “space-times”.

Which are?

On the one hand, the space-time of the company is increasingly turbulent, with the urgent need to digitize their processes. However, the lack of visibility into the future pushes companies to become hyper-agile in their transformation. On the other hand, the space-time of employees does not evolve at the same rate. On the other hand, they want to refocus on the present moment, to find meaning and fulfillment. at work, while achieving a balance between work and personal life.

As a software publisher, how do you meet these two needs?

We offer solutions that install faster! The Cloud allows us to host Agile and quick to implement tools, accessible to companies through simple subscriptions, this is SaaS (Software as a service). We also take into account the wishes of the employees, who now want user-friendly solutions. Ergonomics is one of your first concerns.. In addition, the “smartphone generation” is entering the job market and shares this same desire.

Divalto adapts to these different demands. For several years we have been working on specialized business solutions. They respond in a more standard way to the specificities of certain professions (for industrialists, manufacturers of special machines, etc.). Therefore, its nature allows for faster deployment and, above all, greater agility, thus responding to the development challenges of these industries. Furthermore, Divalto focuses on the user experience. Our design team is working on the ergonomics of the solutions to simplify their use, flows and processes.

Added to this upstream work are the deployment, listening and configuration phases, carried out on the ground by our collaborating companies. They allow us to give a response that is as adjusted as possible to the needs of each entity.

What is your assessment of your sector of activity at the moment?

Given the context, the lack of visibility will persist in the coming months. Companies will continue their digital transformation, necessary to gain efficiency in certain production flows and limit stocks in the face of ever-increasing costs of raw materials. This digitization is essential to help them better overcome this crisis, adapt and perform better against the competition. However, it should also be seen as an opportunity, because it also allows the development of new activities, the creation of new services with greater added value, etc.

We are convinced that this need to go ever faster will accelerate and that SaaS will gradually become the norm.

This phenomenon started a few years ago, but accelerated during Covid, when most companies were using SaaS for office applications. The Cloud is booming because companies want to recover their advantages and agility in the entire information systemincluded in your ERP. This complete shift to the cloud allows companies to focus solely on their business processes and not on IT infrastructure or technical issues.

Divalto responds to this new desire with a new technological platform and 100% Cloud, divalto one. The objective is to facilitate the use of our ERP and CRM solutions, with new ergonomics. Nevertheless, This pressing need for digitization faces a major limitation: skills are becoming increasingly scarce in our market. That is why Divalto invests to attract young talent in this sector of activity, where the demand for skills is constantly increasing.

In conclusion, can you tell us more about Divalto’s DNA?

Divalto is based on 4 values: union, audacity, responsibility and the spirit of improvement. The definition of these pillars is the result of the work carried out in 2016 with our employees. Beyond mere words, each term has scope and meaningthat materialize in operational actions within the company:

  • Together : this notion encompasses the work we do beyond Divalto. Our partner ecosystem brings together 1,250 talents and we are committed to making it grow through certification and training programs. Our goal is to ensure the deployment and distribution of our solutions to as many users as possible;
  • Audacity : Divalto is a leader in its market and is a publishing house that has managed to reinvent itself in the last 40 years. We have experienced several changes with technology, but Divalto has always been a visionary, constantly adapting to a world that moves ever faster;
  • Responsible : We have carried out several editions of a solidarity contest for students, called CARE IT. It rewards student associations (for example, engineering schools) that have carried out projects around social actions. During the last edition of 2021, three prizes were awarded: the first of 5,000 euros, and the other two of 1,000 euros;
  • spirit of excellence : the feedback from our ecosystem of partners allows us to offer the products that best suit the needs of each company.
