MAP. Strike on January 31: how many protesters are there in France? Follow the live count

On January 19, the first mobilization against the pension reform gathered between one and two million people, according to sources. Unions hope to do more this Tuesday.

For the unions, the objective was clear this Tuesday for this second day of strikes and demonstrations: to carry out, as on January 19, the first national mobilization against the pension reform proposed by the Government of Elisabeth Borne. That day, act 1 of the protest had mobilized between one and two million protesters, according to the sources.

This Tuesday, January 31, about 250 demonstrations were planned throughout France, and brought together more than 2.8 million protesters according to the CGT. The main demonstration was organized in Paris, where many political and trade union leaders were present.
