Air traffic controllers strike: black Friday with a thousand flights canceled in France

Two days after asking airlines to reduce their flight schedule by 50% to avoid a strike, the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) has just announced this Friday the cancellation of a thousand flights at French airports.

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGAC) has just announced that a thousand flights would be canceled at all French airports for Friday. This wave of cancellations follows a widespread strike movement by air traffic controllers.

The administration had called on companies on Tuesday to reduce their flight program in mainland France and abroad by 50% following this social movement, at the behest of the main air traffic controllers union that demands salary increases and hiring.
